Terri Hill will be demonstrating brilliant watercolors at the October 27th, 2012 meeting

I’m looking forward to seeing everyone at our meeting this Saturday, October 27th. I can’t wait to see the watercolor demonstration by local artist, Terri Hill. If you haven’t seen her art you are in for a treat, she uses a technique of painting vibrant swirls on her paper as an under painting and then proceeds to paint over the swirls. The vibrancy of the colors shine through and her finished paintings are indeed beautiful.

Jaya King will demonstrate creative ways to tell a story with her art at the September 22nd , 2012 meeting

Filed under: Meetings on September 17, 2012 7:40 am

DEMONSTRATOR: Jaya King will be back with us again demonstrating her creative use of bright colored acrylics, unusual found objects and her amazing imagination to tell a story. She is a talented and fun teacher who inspires her students to bring their own stories to life. Personally, Jaya’s art represents a range of emotion from the purely whimsical to images that can be moody and haunting.

Jaya has been painting professionally for 10 years, showing her art throughout the Bay Area. At age 24 she was invited to do a solo show at Stanford University and her art is in the permanent collection at the Triton Museum of Art in Santa Clara. She is now represented by Nieto Fine Arts in San Francisco
